I research learning in later life, asking how older adults, especially older immigrants, navigate systems that render them invisible. Together, we reimagine those systems so that all learners, at every stage of life, belong.
Research Streams
Reimagining Practice
How do we design learning environments that actually work for older adults? We examine pedagogical conditions that shape what learning looks like in later life, and what it could look like if we built our practice on anti-ageist values.
Digital Literacies
Older adults are online, but on whose terms? We investigates how older adults navigate digital environments, access information, and use creative digital tools, with particular attention to the inequalities that shape who participates and how.
Age solidarity
Learning in later life is a condition for healthy ageing. We examine how learning sustains wellbeing, how older adults advocate for themselves and what a genuinely age-inclusive society would need to provide for education for all.

A newcomer and settler on Indigenous Lands, I live and work on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. Tkaronto is home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. I also acknowledge that this territory is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.
Not sure whose lands you’re on? I encourage you to explore and find out.
